But it is not what you may be thinking...

Tesla had the world’s attention when it introduced the Cybertruck and the Cyberquad two years ago. But ever since, there has been no news about the electric quad...until now. Leaked trademark filings reveal that the California-based company has been hard at work. With Tesla coming to India, the Cyberquad’s India debut can’t be ruled out completely, right? Well, just not yet.

The trademark filed by Tesla this time for the Cyberquad is for apparel branding. But don’t get disheartened, as the vehicle name itself was trademarked in 2019. What the new trademark application translates to, is that the work on the Cyberquad is in full swing and that the electric quad could be unveiled with its own apparel line-- a first from Tesla.

Currently, not much is known about the Tesla Cyberquad. In fact, at its first public appearance, the company had presented a Yamaha Raptor ATV, converted to electric using Zero Motorcycle’s powertrain. All of this was neatly packaged in futuristic bodywork.

Tesla had originally showcased the ATV to demonstrate the Cybertruck’s payload capacity, and later Elon Musk confirmed that this would be an optional extra for Cybertruck buyers. But with its electric pickup truck delayed to late 2022, Tesla seems to be utilising the time to work on the Cyberquad.
