The revised Model 3 comes after six years since the model went on sale and has better range

Tesla has taken the wraps off the refreshed Model 3 sedan after six years of its existence. This is the first revision for one of Tesla’s popular sellers, which gets a sharper suit, better claimed range and, of course, more features on board. So without further ado, let’s get cracking to see what all has been changed in the new Tesla Model 3.

The Model 3 now has a more aggressive demeanor, courtesy of its sleeker and sharper design elements. The front-end with its slimmer LED headlights and the sharper lines at the front now give it an edgier look. Side profile with its sloping roofline remains more or less the same as the outgoing car, save for the new alloys. Moving on to the back, the Model 3 now gets sleek C-shaped LED tail lamps and a tweaked bumper.

It’s on the inside where things are brand spanking new, courtesy of the minimalist styled dashboard. It still gets no physical controls and continues with the 15-inch touchscreen infotainment system; however, the latter’s bezels are slimmer. Also, the stalks on the steering column are done away with and the controls for the same are now shifted to the steering wheel.

Rear seat passengers are also taken care of as they get a new 8-inch screen to operate vehicle features such as climate control and infotainment duties.

As for powertrains, you get to choose from a 279PS single motor rear-wheel drive and 351PS dual motor all-wheel-drive powertrains. Battery pack details aren’t out yet, but Tesla’s official website states the RWD version boasts a WLTP-claimed range of 513km and the same for all-wheel drive is 629km. We also expect a full blown performance version to come later.

Customers can start reserving the refreshed Model 3 in Europe today and deliveries should commence later this year. Moreover, Tesla has confirmed its entry into the Indian market and we do hope the refreshed Model 3 is the first one to come here. When it does come here, it will lock horns with the BMW i4.
