Mercedes-Benz has launched the AMG G63 Facelift on our shores at Rs 3.6 crore (ex-showroom). The facelifted version of the iconic G63 features subtle changes to the exterior, certain revisions in the interior and mild-hybrid tech along with the roaring V8 engine. 120 units of the facelifted iteration have already been reserved. Bookings are open now for deliveries in Q3 2025.
Here is a detailed look at the facelifted version of the G63 SUV.
Mercedes-AMG G63 Facelift: Design
The new version of the G63 retains the iconic and familiar boxy silhouette, but features certain new design elements to set it apart from the pre-facelift model. The fascia now gets a more aggressively-styled bumper (with three vertical slats) and dark finish for the grille and tri-pointed star.
You also get additional AMG-specific touches such as flared wheel arches which further enhance the sportiness quotient. On top of the standard colour options, you get 29 unique MANUFAKTUR colour options as per your choice. Lastly, there is a new design for the alloys, which add a breath of fresh air.
Mercedes-AMG G63 Facelift: Interior
Step inside and you will notice that the interior has been made more premium, finished in premium materials. The dashboard now houses the latest MBUX infotainment system which is a 12.3-inch touchscreen unit. It boasts augmented reality navigation and wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The system is merged neatly with the 12.3-inch digital driver’s display which comes with all the necessary information, including off-roading stats!
You get multiple modes of customization for the ambient lighting which brightens up the cabin and is present across the cabin. The customizations don’t end there, and you also get the option of choosing from 31 MANUFAKTUR interior themes which lets you have the interior scheme as per your liking.
Apart from the aforementioned features, you get a host of ADAS features which dial up the safety factor. Other features include a 360-degree camera, 18-speaker Burmester 3D surround sound system, multiple-zones of climate control, a sunroof, entertainment screens for the rear passengers, and powered and ventilated seats.
Mercedes-AMG G63 Facelift: Powertrain
The V8 goodness has been carried over, but the powertrain has been made more capable and potent with the help of a mild-hybrid setup. The V8 engine here is a 4-litre twin-turbo unit which produces 585 PS and 850 Nm. You also get a power boost of 20 PS thanks to the mild-hybrid setup.
The facelifted G63 flies from 0-100 kmph in just 4.3 seconds if you are in the new Race start (launch control) mode! Keep your foot down and watch it reach its top speed of 240 kmph (electronically capped).
