Deliveries for both motorcycles will start soon after their July 5 launch

Triumph has just unveiled the Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X, and now the British manufacturer has started accepting pre-bookings for both motorcycles in India. So, interested customers wanting to jump on the Triumph bandwagon can now pre-book the motorcycles online or at Triumph dealerships for a refundable token amount of Rs 2,000.

The Speed 400 and the Scrambler 400X are both powered by a 398cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine, producing 40PS and 37.5Nm, that comes mated to a 6-speed gearbox. But Triumph has kept subtle differences in their underpinning to make the bikes more suited for their individual personalities.

The Triumph Speed 400 and Scrambler 400X will be launched in India on July 5, 2023 at Bajaj’s plant in Chakan, near Pune. Deliveries will commence shortly thereafter in the same month from Triumph dealerships, which are managed by Bajaj as part of the partnership between the two manufacturers. Global deliveries of the motorcycles are expected to start early next year.

The Speed 400 will likely be priced at Rs 2.90 lakh and will rival the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R, Honda CB300R, Zontes GK350, and the upcoming next-gen KTM 390 Duke. The Scrambler 400X will probably be priced at Rs 3.20 lakh and rival the Yezdi Scrambler, Royal Enfield Scram 411, and the upcoming Husqvarna Svartpilen 401 (all prices ex-showroom).
