The Indian two-wheeler industry witnessed a thrilling week that uncovered the latest spy shots, new premium bike launches and price revisions, as well as insights on upcoming bikes and scooters, and more! If you missed out on the excitement, here's a quick recap of this week's news:
Yamaha Motor India launched the new and more premium Aerox S variant at Rs 1,50,600, a small premium of Rs 3,300 over the standard variant. The Aerox S comes in two colours: Silver and Racing Blue.
Aprilia India launched the 660 trio along with the RSV4 Factory. The Aprilia RSV4 Factory, Aprilia RS 660 and Aprilia Tuono 660 are being relaunched in India, while the Aprilia Tuareg 660 is making its debut in the country as the only adventure bike in the Italian manufacturer’s lineup.
Aprilia India also announced bollywood actor John Abraham as their brand ambassador. The Italian manufacturer has also released the official accessory list for the RS 457. Some of its accessories may be made in Italy and then imported to India, because of which their prices are quite high.
The 2024 Triumph Tiger 900 range has been launched in India. The 2024 Tiger 900 GT is now priced at Rs 13,95,000 and the Tiger 900 Rally Pro costs Rs 15,95,000 (both ex-showroom Delhi). Triumph Motorcycles India now offers both bikes with increased power and torque, new colour options, Bluetooth connectivity as standard, better features, and more!
Suzuki India has launched the 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition of the Hayabusa in India as a tribute to the 25-year legacy of the iconic bike. The Hayabusa 25th Anniversary Celebration Edition is available in a black and orange paint scheme with V-shaped decals. It features special 25th anniversary badging all around, gold anodized parts and more. The special edition Hayabusa is priced at Rs 80,000 more than the standard Hayabusa at Rs 17,70,000 (ex-showroom Delhi).
Hero MotoCorp has filed a trademark application for the Mavrick 440 Scrambler. This hints that the Jaipur-based manufacturer is now working on a 440cc Scrambler, which is likely to be based on the Mavrick 440 roadster but will come with better off-road capabilities.
Hero has also started deliveries for the Mavrick 440 across India, the first few bikes were delivered at Hero Premia outlet in Gurugram.
Ola Electric has launched the S1 X range with revised prices, offering discounts of up to Rs 10,000. Additionally, the EV maker is providing an 8-year/80,000km extended battery warranty for all its scooters for free. The S1 X has also become the first Ola electric scooter to feature a physical key.
A new Kinetic Green electric scooter was spotted testing. The upcoming e-scooter features a modern and stylish design, and will likely be based on the same platform as the retro-styled Kinetic Green Flex, providing a modern alternative in the manufacturer’s high-speed e-scooter range.
The upcoming 2024 Suzuki Access 125 was spied testing. The spy shots give us a clear view of the scooter, showing us what features the updated scooter will come with. The scooter will come with an updated design and new features.
KTM and Husqvarna India are now offering a 5-year extended warranty along with 1-year roadside assistance for free across their entire model range. This offer applies to all new bike purchases, valid from April 1, 2024.
