Mercedes-Benz EQA 250+ vs Rivals: Specifications Compared

The past week was bustling with new launches with the arrival of an entry-level Mercedes-Benz EV, a special edition for a Hyundai micro-SUV, and new variants for an MG ZS EV rival.
We also got the Euro-NCAP safety crash test results of a rather popular Maruti hatchback along with the confirmation of the launch timeline of Skoda’s flagship SUV’s new-generation model.. Here’s a look at the major car news and updates from the last week.
Mercedes-Benz introduced its entry-level electric SUV, called the EQA. The GLA’s electric counterpart is priced from Rs 66 lakh (ex-showroom), and will be offered in a single 250+ variant. The EV offers a WLTP-claimed range of up to 560 km. To know more about the EQA, click here.
Mercedes-Benz also launched the facelifted version of EQB, priced from Rs 70.90 lakh to Rs 77.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It now gets the option of both 5- and 7-seater configurations The SUV is offered with two battery pack options and has a claimed range of up to 535km. To know more about the EQB, click here.
BYD has launched two new variants for the Atto 3, which carry a price drop of Rs 9 lakh, as its prices now start from Rs 24.99 lakh (ex-showroom). With the new base variant, it also gets a smaller 50kWh battery pack which has an ARAI-claimed range of up to 468km and a few feature omissions. Check out our story to know more about this news.
The 2024 Maruti Suzuki Swift has been crash tested by the Euro NCAP, and it has scored three stars out of five in the safety test. The international-spec of the hatchback comes with additional safety kit like ADAS over the Indian model, which has not been tested yet. Hyundai India has launched a special Knight Edition for the Exter, starting from Rs 8.38 lakh (ex-showroom). It is based on the top-spec SX and SX(O) variants and features cosmetic tweaks for the exterior. Nissan has officially teased the interior of the fourth-generation X-Trail, revealing its feature-rich cabin. The India-bound SUV will get plenty of niceties, including a 12.3-inch infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, a wireless phone charger and a 12.3-inch digital driver’s display. Tata officially uploaded a teaser video of the upcoming Curvv and Curvv EV, showcasing the coupe SUV being tested in high altitude regions, and also providing a glimpse of the premium features which will be offered with it. Skoda’s brand director has confirmed that the new-generation of the Kodiaq SUV will be launched by June 2025. The next generation of the flagship SUV will get an updated styling for the exterior, a brand new cabin and some additional features. It will also get a slightly more powerful engine.
