We had a blast covering Auto Expo 2025, and got to see some really cool bikes and scooters being launched, unveiled and showcased. However, these are some of the most exciting bikes and scooters for use from the expo:
The Yamaha Tenere 700, in our opinion, was one of the biggest highlights of this Auto Expo. This is one bike we have been really looking forward to, for quite a while now. The bike, although looks like a simple middle-weight ADV, is a lot more capable than what you would think.
The rally-inspired design, the decently powerful engine, and the insane engineering that Yamaha has put into making this bike, has definitely made it one of the most capable ADVs. If you were to ask us if this is the ultimate ADV for offroad enthusiasts then our answer would be a resounding yes.
We at ZigWheels had been waiting for the Honda Activa e: ever since it was showcased the first time. . We were convinced that the scooter could come to India in 2024. But Honda decided to just unveil it that year, leaving us a bit disappointed.
Now, the brand has finally launched the scooter along with the more affordable QC1. The Activa e: features a more modern design, which still tries to maintain the same profile as the iconic ICE Activa. The QC1 also offers a similar look, but without a LED DRL mounted at the headlight cowl.
Both scooters look really good and the pricing is also reasonable. That said, the Honda Activa e: is currently only available in select cities.
Hero MotoCorp launched the new Hero XPulse 210 at Auto Expo 2025. We had been eagerly waiting for the bike since we saw it being unveiled at EICMA 2024. The new XPulse features a more rally-bike inspired design and it makes the bike stand out from typical dual-sports.
The powerful engine, long-travel suspension and the long list of features really makes the bike a good proposition for off-road enthusiasts. The Base variant is priced at Rs 1,75,800 while the Top variant is priced at Rs 1,85,800.
The brand also launched its new scooters as well – Hero Xoom 160 and Hero Xoom 125. The Hero Xoom 160 is a maxi-style scooter priced at Rs 1,48,500 while the sporty Hero Xoom 125 costs Rs 85,500. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.
The Suzuki e-Access was a welcome surprise at Auto Expo 2025. We had known that the brand had been working to get into the electric scooter segment for a few years, as we had seen the Suzuki e-Burgman being tested. But for India, Suzuki has brought in e-Access from the ground up to meet the market requirements here.
The e-Burgman spotted earlier featured swappable batteries, which might not be the best for the Indian market given the nascent state of swapping infrastructure. The e-Access features a fixed battery pack which makes it easier for Indian consumers to recharge their scooters at home. The e-scooter is expected to launch in India by the end of 2025.
We had been expecting the BMW R 1300 GS Adventure and the S 1000 RR for a while now. BMW has finally launched these two behemoths in India.
The BMW R 1300 GS Adventure is the brand’s highest capacity ADV bike, and it manages to distinguish itself from the regular BMW R 1300 GS, with the boxier design and styling. The bike comes at a price of Rs 22,95,000 (ex-showroom).
The BMW S 1000 RR on the other hand, is a proper supersport bike, which is powered by a 999cc inline-four engine which makes 208PS and 112.5Nm. The S 1000 RR gets a very aggressive design and styling, complete with winglets as well. It is priced at Rs 21,10,000 (ex-showroom).
