TVS has launched a new variant of the Jupiter ZX, called the Jupiter ZX Drum SmartXonnect at Rs 84,468 (ex-showroom Delhi). It gets the Starlight Blue colour option already available on the Jupiter ZX, and a new exclusive colour called Olive Gold. The latter looks properly flashy, and attention-grabbing.
The highlight of the new variant is the TVS SmartXonnect feature, the result of which the scooter gets a fully digital instrument console. It is packed with features like turn-by-turn navigation, call and SMS alerts and voice assist. To use these features, the console has to be paired with your smartphone through the TVS Connect application.
Other than the connectivity features, the rest of the scooter remains identical to the regular Jupiter ZX variant. This means it is powered by the same 109.7cc, single-cylinder engine producing 7.88PS and 8.8Nm. Braking duties are taken care of by 130mm drum brakes at both ends. It also gets various practical features like a USB charging port, retractable hooks for carrying bags, external fuel cap and an underseat storage space of 21 litres.
The new variant, Jupiter ZX Drum SmartXconnect, will compete against the likes of the Honda Activa H-Smart, and the Hero Pleasure+ Xtec.
