Setting a fine example of India’s capability of producing quality electric motorcycles, Ultraviolette Automotive unveiled the latest iteration of the F99 Factory Racing Program at EICMA 2023. This time, Ultraviolette REALLY outdid themselves after the debut of the previous iteration at the Auto Expo 2023.
The race-spec F99 gets a liquid-cooled powertrain that delivers a peak power output of 90kW and a claimed top speed of 265kmph! That makes the Ultraviolette F99 India’s fastest electric superbike! That’s not all, it also accelerates from 0-100kmph in just 3 seconds! It has winglets and ducts on the front cowl and side panels and also the rear-end, complete with active aerodynamics! The windshield and the front cowl ducts are parts of the active aero elements. The winglets on the side panels, called ‘Air Blades’, are electronically actuated in real time to adapt to lean angles to enhance downforce during cornering. Pretty cool stuff!
Other details include a steel hybrid frame, aluminium swingarm, carbon fibre bodywork, wheelbase of 1400mm and 120/70 R17 front and 180/55 R17 rear tyre setup and a kerb weight of JUST 178kg! The fully-faired motorcycle has a gold USD fork and monoshock suspension setup and gets carbon fibre covers for the 17-inch wheels.

When first unveiled during Auto Expo 2023, the manufacturer said that the rear sets are CNC machined units and are adjustable according to the rider’s preferred posture on the motorcycle. So, we expect them to be carried over to this latest iteration of the F99.
The Ultraviolette F99 Factory Racing Program won’t just be restricted to racing. In fact, Ultraviolette says the production version will be launched globally in 2025. Expect it to cost around Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) mark.
In other news, Ultraviolette Automotive announced that the F77 will soon be available in Europe and will be priced between 9,000 to 11,000 Euros (around Rs 8 lakh to Rs 9.19 lakh). The EV maker will start accepting registrations for the European market from November 15, 2023. Also, the European-spec F77’s output figures are similar to the F77 Space Edition, which was launched in August 2023.
