Maruti Suzuki, India’s largest carmaker, is gearing up for an exciting 2025 with a lineup that blends electrification, facelifts, and new SUV offerings. With its first-ever mass-market EV, the e Vitara, leading the charge, Maruti Suzuki is set to strengthen its hold in both the electric and ICE segments. The Baleno and Brezza are expected to get significant updates to keep them competitive, while there could be a new three-row SUV based on the Grand Vitara to cater to families in need of more space and comfort.
Here’s everything we know so far about Maruti Suzuki’s plans for the coming year.
Confirmed Debut On 17th January 2025
Expected Price: Rs 20 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki’s first fully-electric compact SUV, the e Vitara, is creating quite a buzz ahead of its debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January 2025. Based on the HEARTECT-e platform designed for battery electric vehicles, the e Vitara is essentially the production version of the eVX concept, which was displayed at the 2023 Auto Expo. Internationally, the SUV comes with two battery options: a 49 kWh and a 61 kWh pack, offering power outputs ranging from 144 PS to 249 PS with a maximum driving range of up to 600 km. While its official Indian debut is scheduled at the Bharat Mobility Expo, we expect Maruti Suzuki to offer similar configurations here, along with advanced tech like Level-2 ADAS, dual integrated screens, a 360-degree camera, and connected car features.
It is expected to lock horns with the MG ZS EV, Tata Curvv EV, Nexon EV and the Hyundai Creta EV. The e Vitara marks a bold step forward for Maruti Suzuki as it transitions into the EV market, targeting eco-conscious buyers without compromising on style or performance.
Expected In March 2025
Expected Price: Rs 7 Lakh
The Maruti Suzuki Baleno, a crowd favourite in the premium hatchback segment, is expected to get yet another facelift in March 2025. This refresh comes as the Baleno approaches the three-year mark since its last major update in 2022. While the styling tweaks are expected to keep the Baleno’s design fresh, the real game-changer could lie under the hood.
Inside, the Baleno facelift could boast an upgraded cabin with probably a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital driver’s display, and a wireless phone charger. Premium features like a single-pane sunroof, TPMS, and six airbags as standard could also elevate its appeal and value proposition.
Expected In June 2025
Expected Price: Rs 12 Lakh
Maruti Suzuki is expected to expand the Grand Vitara lineup with a 3-row iteration, which was recently spotted testing on the Indian roads. Expected to launch in June 2025, this upcoming 7-seater SUV will not just stretch the seating capacity but is also expected to bring distinct exterior and interior updates. Spy shots reveal design cues inspired by the e Vitara, including a refreshed headlight and tail light design, a revised bumper, and tweaks to the dashboard. These changes signal a more premium and spacious variant of the already popular 5-seater Grand Vitara.

The 3-row Grand Vitara is likely to carry forward most of the features from its smaller sibling, such as a 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a panoramic sunroof, ventilated front seats, 6 airbags, ESC, TPMS, and a 360-degree camera. While Maruti is yet to confirm its specifications, the Grand Vitara 3-row SUV aims to cater to the growing demand for versatile, family-oriented SUVs in the Indian market.
Expected In August 2025
Expected Price: Rs 8.5 Lakh
After its last comprehensive update in 2022, the Maruti Suzuki Brezza is expected to receive a much-needed facelift in 2025 to fend off fierce competition in the subcompact SUV segment. With rivals like the Skoda Kylaq, Kia Syros, and Mahindra XUV 3XO upping their game, the Brezza’s facelift is anticipated to bring a slew of feature upgrades and modern touches.
On the inside, the refreshed Brezza could boast a larger touchscreen infotainment system, a fully digital driver’s display, ventilated and powered front seats, and 6 airbags as standard. To stay competitive, Maruti Suzuki might also equip it with a panoramic sunroof, a feature becoming increasingly common in this segment.
Maruti Suzuki’s 2025 lineup showcases the brand’s efforts to cater to a wide range of buyers, from EV enthusiasts with the e Vitara to SUV lovers with the Brezza Facelift and Grand Vitara 3-Row. Meanwhile, the Baleno Facelift ensures Maruti remains competitive in the hatchback space.
