If you are one of those people waiting to get their hands on the upcoming Honda Elevate, your patience will be tested for some more time. The compact SUV will start reaching showrooms in a couple of weeks ahead of its September launch. So Honda has plonked the City’s tried and tested 1.5-litre NA petrol inside the bonnet of the Elevate. Output stands at 121PS/145Nm and transmission options include a six-speed manual or a CVT gearbox.

Honda will launch the Elevate SUV in September, and deliveries will start post that. Expect the starting price to be somewhere around the Rs 11-lakh mark (ex-showroom). The Honda Elevate will slot into the hustling compact SUV segment and rival the likes of the new Kia Seltos, Hyundai Creta, VW Taigun, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara and the upcoming Citroen C3 Aircross.
