Tata Altroz Racer 2024 Review | What’s in a name?

The past week brought us the launch of the sportier version of a Tata hatchback, two special editions for MG’s flagship SUV, improved safety for Volkswagen’s two cars, a limited edition for three of Maruti’s entry-level hatchbacks and feature updates for these two Mercedes-Benz models. The Tata Altroz Racer has been launched and will rival the Hyundai i20 N Line. The sportier version of the Altroz comes with a black bonnet and roof with white stripes. The interior too has been updated with new features and orange highlights for the cabin. It also gets a more powerful engine, borrowed from the Nexon. The Volkswagen Taigun and Virtus have been updated with 6 airbags as standard across all variants. Earlier, only the higher-end variants used to get 6 airbags. Both the Taigun and Virtus have received a 5-star rating in the Global NCAP safety crash test. Tap here to know more.

Maruti Suzuki has introduced a Dream Series limited edition for the Alto K10, Celerio and S-Presso, priced at Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom). Mercedes-Benz India has launched the all new C300 (petrol) AMG Line in India, which replaces the C 300d, at Rs 69 lakh (ex-showroom). The Hyundai Ioniq 5, the Korean carmaker’s flagship model in India, has been recalled over a potential issue related to its integrated charging control unit (ICCU).
