The Yamaha Aerox 155 got a new variant a couple of days ago called the Version S and is priced at Rs 1,50,600 (ex-showroom Delhi). It gets some new additional features. So, let’s take a look at them below:
The Aerox 155 Version S gets a few keyless features in the form of a Smart Key, which only works when you are standing quite close to the scooter for added safety. There are two main features associated with it. One is that if you are finding it difficult to find the Aerox 155 in a crowded parking lot, then you can simply press a button on the Smart Key and the blinkers will start flashing and a buzzer sound is also emitted at the same time. The second feature is that you can now start the engine without the need of a physical key. When you are standing next to the scooter or sitting on it, you can simply rotate the knob and push the start button.
So, these are the additional features the Version S comes equipped with on top of the features available on the base variant. It includes an LCD instrument console with Bluetooth connectivity via the Y-Connect app. The console gives readouts such as call/SMS alerts, phone battery level, speedometer, odometer and more. The Y-Connect app provides information such as last parking location, fuel consumption data, malfunction/maintenance alerts and more. The scooter gets an idle-start-stop function that shuts off the engine to save fuel when it idles for more than a set duration of time. Also, the Aerox 155 gets a traction control system that reduces the chances of wheelspin.
The Aerox 155 Version S costs Rs 3,000 more than the base variant and is available with two colour options: Silver & Racing Blue. It is sold exclusively through Yamaha’s Blue Square showrooms.
