If you were planning on buying the Yamaha FZ Fi this Diwali, you will have to shell out a bit more than before. The 150cc commuter now commands a premium of Rs 1,000. Here are the new prices of all the colours/trims of the FZ:
New Price |
Old Price |
Difference |
|
Yamaha FZ Fi |
Rs 1,02,700 |
Rs 1,01,700 |
Rs 1,000 |
Yamaha FZS Fi (standard colours) |
Rs 1,04,700 |
Rs 1,03,700 |
Rs 1,000 |
In its segment, the Yamaha FZ Fi might not be the pacesetter that it once was, lagging behind every single rival. What has managed to still draw the crowds to the Yamaha dealerships is the great fuel efficiency that the 149cc mill delivers as well as the ease of commuting which makes it a great city bike. Recently, Yamaha gave the FZS Fi Darknight edition smartphone connectivity tech but it isn’t as user friendly or helpful as what we’ve seen on some 125cc scooters and the likes of the Hero XPulse 200, Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and Honda H'ness CB350.
Even with the revised prices, the Yamaha FZ Fi and the FZS Fi continue to be one of the more affordable bikes in this class. Only the Hero Xtreme 160R single-disc variant undercuts the Yammie, and that too by only Rs 700. The likes of the TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, Bajaj Pulsar NS160 and the Honda XBlade are pricier but not by a huge margin.
