Yamaha MT 03 And MT 25 New Colours Launched In Japan

Quick News Highlights:

- Yamaha MT 03 and MT 25 receives a new Dark Gray colour option in Japan

- Sold alongside the Blue and Matte Dark Gray colour options already available

- Mechanically, both bikes remain unchanged

Yamaha has updated its streetfighters, the MT 25 and the MT 03 in Japan. But what do the bikes get with the new updates? Let’s take a look:

What Are The Changes?

The Yamaha MT 03 has received a new colour option called Dark Gray in Japan without any changes to the bike’s price tag. The new colour is an addition to the colour options already available for the 2024 model of the streetfighter called Blue and Matte Dark Gray. The new Dark Gray colour is of a darker shade of the Midnight Cyan colour option available in India and complements the aggressive looks of the streetfighter very well. We hope Yamaha India launches this colour on our shores in the coming months. The MT 03 is priced at Rs 4,59,900 (ex-showroom Delhi) in India.

The Yamaha MT 25 was also updated for the 2024 model year with the same Dark Gray colour option. Sadly, the bike is not available in India.

What’s Left Unchanged In The Yamaha MT 03?

Other than the new colour option, the rest of the bike has remained unchanged. It is powered by a 321cc, liquid-cooled, parallel-twin cylinder engine producing 42PS at 10,750rpm and 29.5Nm at 9000rpm. Stopping the bike is a single 298mm front disc and a 220mm rear disc brake setup with dual-channel ABS. The suspension setup consists of an inverted fork and a monoshock. It gets a 110-section front and 140-section rear tyre setup with 17-inch wheels at both ends.

In terms of features, the MT 03 is pretty bare bones as it gets an LCD instrument console speedometer, tachometer, odometer, fuel gauge, clock and other regular readouts. It doesn’t get Bluetooth connectivity, slipper clutch and a quickshifter, features you’d normally expect in a bike of this segment. The Yamaha MT 03 rivals the likes of the KTM Duke 390, Triumph Speed 400, TVS Apache RTR 310, QJ SRK 400 and Zontes 350R.
