Japanese aftermarket parts builder Y's Gear has pulled the wraps off the Yamaha MT-09 Cyber Rally at the Osaka Motorcycle Show in Japan. This isn't a new model from the Japanese bikemaker but is under consideration as an aftermarket kit depending on the response at the motorcycle show.
The Yamaha MT-09 Cyber Rally draws inspiration from the short-lived 2014 MT-09 Street Rally. So, this new model's highlight is the big handguards that double up as winglets. This is complemented by a new clear headlight cowl covering the single LED projector.
Furthermore, the MT-09 Cyber Rally comes with new radiator shrouds, which have slits on the sides to aid cooling. The kit also includes a tail tidy, different seat, tank pads, Akrapovic exhaust, and a steering damper.
The Yamaha MT-09 Cyber Rally is mechanically unchanged and continues to be powered by the same 889cc inline-triple CP3 motor belting out 119PS and 93Nm.
The Yamaha MT-09 Cyber Rally Kit has been priced at JPY 389,950, or roughly Rs 2.46 lakh. For reference, the standard MT-09 costs JPY 1,100,000 (or Rs 6.95 lakh) in the Japanese market. And while the Cyber Rally kit could be restricted to the domestic market, Yamaha may bring the 2022 MT-09 in India later this year.
