The Yezdi ADV has been recently spotted testing yet again, and this time around, we get a clearer glimpse of the adventure tourer. In parallel, the Yezdi Roadking Scrambler has also been spotted again, but now without camouflage for the first time.
The Roadking Scrambler looks launch-ready. Anupam Thareja, co-founder of Classic Legends, recently tweeted, “Diwali got over, but I’ve still got one cracker left. Any guesses?” We reckon this hints at the Yezdi Roadking Scrambler’s launch on November 15, the same day Jawa launched its motorcycles back in 2018. The company will probably take the Jawa Perak route, i.e., launch the motorcycle and then commence deliveries later (after having tested the bike properly).
The Yezdi Roadking Scrambler comes in a tasteful white colour scheme with black and blue stripes on the tank. There’s also a sticker that reads ‘Legendary Yezdi’ on the fuel tank.
The styling of the Yezdi ADV, on the other hand, is quite similar to the Royal Enfield Himalayan. That said, this motorcycle comes with all-LED Lighting, with the headlamp mounted on the triple clamp rather than on the tank braces like the Himalayan. The adventure tourer also comes with tank braces with an integrated crash guard and a metal bash plate for extra protection.
For touring comfort, the bike features a short windshield, upright handlebars with split-seat configuration, and mid-set footpegs. The test mule also features saddle stays, but we reckon it’s a part of the optional accessories list. Yezdi has also equipped the bike with a fully digital instrument cluster with rugged-looking bezels. You can also see the directional buttons on the left switchgear, which look similar to the KTM 390 Duke / KTM 390 Adventure. We wouldn’t be surprised if the console came with smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
While the Yezdi Roadking Scrambler might get the standard Jawa’s 293cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine, the Yezdi ADV might get the Jawa Perak’s bigger 334cc heart. In the standard Jawa, the motor makes 27.33PS and 27.02Nm, whereas, in the Jawa Perak, it produces 30.64PS and 32.74Nm. Expect the engines to be tuned differently to suit the character of the Yezdis.
The Yezdi ADV appears to have a larger front spoke wheel and a smaller rear wheel, with a long-travel telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock. On the other hand, the Roadking Scrambler gets twin rear shock absorbers and a telescopic front fork. Both bikes get block-pattern dual-purpose tyres.
Yezdi might price the Roadking Scrambler at around Rs 1.75 lakh and the Yezdi ADV at around Rs 1.9 lakh- Rs 2 lakh (both ex-showroom). The ADV will go up directly against the Royal Enfield Himalayan, whereas the closest alternatives to the Roadking Scrambler will be the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and the Honda CB350RS.
