Classic Legends is set to revive yet another iconic two-wheeler brand in India, the Yezdi Motorcycles. The first Yezdi bike will likely debut on November 15, and here's why we think so.
Classic Legends co-founder Anupam Thareja recently tweeted, 'Diwali got over, but I've still got one cracker left. Any guesses?' Later, a few more tweets followed from the Jawa motorcycle social media handle and a teaser from Yezdi's official account.
The Yezdi Roadking ADV and the Scrambler have been spotted multiple times, with the latter recently spotted sans camouflage in a production-ready avatar. So, it won't be a surprise if Yezdi takes the wraps off the Scrambler first.
The bike will likely follow in Jawa's launch footsteps from back in 2018. That is, unveil the models and pricing and commence sales later.
The Yezdi Scrambler and ADV will borrow their powertrains from standard Jawa and Perak, respectively. The regular Jawa uses a 293cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled motor belting out 27.33PS and 27.02Nm. The Perak, on the other hand, gets a 334cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled mill producing 30.64PS and 32.74Nm.
We expect the Yezdi Scrambler to be priced at around Rs 1.75 lakh and the ADV at Rs 1.90 - Rs 2 lakh (both ex-showroom). The former will rival the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250 and Vitpilen 250, while the ADV will square off against the Royal Enfield Himalayan.
