You Can Now Book The 2024 Kia Sonet Facelift Ahead Of Its Official Reveal

Bookings for the 2024 Kia Sonet facelift are unofficially being accepted. If you were eyeing one, you can reserve yours for a token amount of Rs 25,000 at some dealerships. Kia India will officially reveal the Sonet facelift 2024 on December 14, 2023, and here’s everything you need to know about it.

You will see noticeable changes in the design of the 2024 Sonet compared to the pre-facelift model. The front features a redesigned grille with new inserts along with updated LED headlights and DRLs. From the side, except for the new alloy wheel design, the overall design is similar to the current Sonet. At the rear, the 2024 Sonet features an updated connected LED taillight setup inspired by the facelifted 2023 Seltos.

Inside, the cabin of the 2024 Sonet will feature a familiar dashboard design with a floating touchscreen infotainment system. It will also have a 10.25-inch digital driver's display, as seen in the teaser released by Kia which you can check out over here. An earlier test mule of the 2024 Sonet also showcased the updated black/tan cabin colour theme and revised AC control panel, giving it a refreshed look.

The 2024 Sonet will carry forward features like the 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple Carplay/Android Auto, connected car technology, a sunroof, wireless phone charging, a Bose sound system, ventilated front seats, and cruise control. 

It will likely get new safety features like a 360-degree camera and partial ADAS suite and will retain existing safety features including six airbags, ABS with EBD, front and rear parking sensors, a tyre pressure monitoring system, and electronic stability control.

As for the powertrain options, the 2024 Sonet will likely be offered with current engine choices which includes a 120PS 1-litre turbo-petrol, an 83PS 1.2-litre petrol, and a 116PS 1.5-litre diesel engine. Transmission choices include a 5-speed MT, 6-speed iMT, 6-speed AT, and 7-speed DCT depending on the engine option you pick.

Prices for the 2024 Kia Sonet are expected to be revealed in early 2024. It will command a premium over the current model, whose prices start from Rs 7.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The 2024 Sonet will rival the likes of the Tata Nexon, Hyundai Venue, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, and Nissan Magnite.
