So if you’re looking for a hybrid vehicle but also want a taste of performance as well, here’s a list of all the hybrids we’ve tested under the Rs 31 lakh mark.

The Honda City Hybrid is the quickest under 30 lakh hybrid car tested by us with a time of 9.95 seconds
The Toyota Innova Hycross comes in a close second with a 0-100kmph time of 10.13 seconds, which is impressive for a car its size.
The Maruti Grand Vitara’s test was carried out in wet conditions and took 11.55 seconds to hit the 100kmph mark.
The City Hybrid and Innova Hycross complete the quarter mile in near identical times, with the City just edging it.
While hybrid powertrains might be more expensive than their non-hybrid powertrains, they do offer both better performance and efficiency. Under the Rs 31 lakh mark, it is the Honda City Hybrid that will offer you the best performance, but the Innova Hycross does really well for a car its size. The Grand Vitara would have certainly done better in dry conditions, but is still not a slow car by any means. If you had to, which one of the three would you pick?
