The first units of the facelifted 2023 Kia Seltos are on display at dealerships, giving us a closer look at the model. Like before, the Seltos continues to come in three broad trims: Tech Line, GT Line and X-Line. We spent some time with the flagship X-Line variant and here are all the details you need to know about in our in-depth image gallery story.
For starters, the Kia Seltos X-Line is offered only in one hue: Xclusive Matte Graphite. Its design is the same as the GT Line, which gets the same large ‘Tiger Nose’ grille and more aggressively styled bumpers, but here, almost all the chrome elements are blacked out. This gives the front end a very stealthy look and we likey!
In profile, the Seltos X-Line rolls on 18-inch dual-tone alloys that gives it just the right amount of bling. Also, there is a sleek chrome trim under the window sill, which flows all the way till the roof in the C-pillar. However, the chrome door handles offered in the GT Line trim have been deleted here, replaced with matte grey units.

At the rear, the Seltos’ connected LED tail lamps look wicked, especially when lit up. And it gets a sporty bumper design with a black skid plate instead of the silver unit in other models to give it a dapper look.
Inside, the Seltos X-Line’s dashboard design is same as rest of the variants, which looks upmarket thanks to the dual 10.25-inch screens comprising the digital driver’s display and touchscreen infotainment system. However, up here, the dashboard comes finished in black and green. To know the variant-wise colour scheme options, head to this report.
The X-Line, being the flagship variant, gets all the bells and whistles. Highlights include Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, a head-up display, panoramic sunroof, wireless phone charger, ventilated front seats and a Bose sound system.
As for safety, the primary addition here is the presence of ADAS, which gets features such as lane keeping assist and adaptive cruise control. Apart from that, it gets six airbags, electronic stability control, 360-degree camera, electronic parking brake with auto hold and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
The Kia Seltos X-Line gets two powertrain options only: a 160PS 1.5-litre turbo-petrol and a 116PS 1.5-litre diesel, teamed with either a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and a 6-speed torque converter, respectively. If you want an iMT, then you have to step down to other variants. Plus, the Seltos gets a 115PS 1.5-litre petrol engine in the lower-spec variants.
Prices of the Kia Seltos are expected to be announced in the coming weeks. For reference, the pre-facelift Kia Seltos X-Line was priced around Rs 19.65 lakh (ex-showroom). So with the addition of these new features, it’s safe to say it will command a significant premium over the outgoing model. Pre-launch bookings are now underway.
The facelifted Kia Seltos will continue to rival the Hyundai Creta, Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, VW Taigun, Skoda Kushaq as well as the upcoming Honda Elevate and Citroen C3 Aircross.
