The new 2024 Honda Amaze is offered in India on three broad variants: V, VX and ZX. Prices start from Rs 8 lakh (ex-showroom) and the model is already on display at Honda showrooms. But if you want to take a closer look at how the base-spec Amaze looks like in images, you’re in the right place as we give you a deep dive of the entry-level Amaze V in our in-depth image gallery.
Up front, the Amaze looks similar to the top-end variant with a large Elevate-like grille, but keen eyed viewers will notice that it lacks the gloss black detailing available in the top model. Nevertheless, you still get the dual barrel LED projector headlights with DRLs, but it misses out on LED fog lamps.
The side profile will instantly tell you that it’s the base V variant as this version sits on 14-inch steel wheels with plastic covers. Also, the Amaze V is offered only with three colour options: Lunar Silver Metallic, Platinum White Pearl and Obsidian Blue Pearl. If you want the grey, red or brown hues, you have no other choice but pick one of the higher variants.

Viewing the base Amaze from the back looks similar to the higher-end versions, with the City-like wrap-around LED tail lamps that get a different signature.
Step inside the 2024 Honda Amaze V and you’ll notice that the dashboard layout, with a black and beige theme, is similar to the Elevate. Highlights include a floating touchscreen infotainment system and textured plastic trim on the dashboard. That said, this being a base model lacks the silver highlights that gives it a dash of contrast.
Rear seat occupants in this variant aren’t compromised when it comes to comfort and convenience. They get three individual headrests and even a centre armrest. The only missing bit here is the lack of rear AC vents, which is limited to higher variants.
One will have to rely on manual controls to operate the AC in this variant. But still, it comes with a decent features set that includes an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a 4-speaker sound system, steering mounted audio controls, a semi-digital driver’s display, keyless entry and power windows.
Passenger safety is taken care of by six airbags, ABS with EBD, rear parking sensors, electronic stability control, ISOFIX and hill start assist.
The 2024 Honda Amaze is powered by the familiar 90 PS 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine, teamed with either a 5-speed manual or a 7-step CVT. In terms of fuel efficiency, the manual Amaze returns a claimed 18.65 kmpl, while the automatic returns 19.46 kmpl.
The Honda Amaze base model with the manual gearbox costs Rs 8 lakh, while if you opt for the automatic, you need to shell out Rs 9.2 lakh (both prices, ex-showroom). It locks horns with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura and Tata Tigor.
