Hyundai recently introduced a new Executive variant for its subcompact SUV, the Venue, bridging the gap between the S and S(O) trims. This new addition serves as the entry-level variant for the sub-4m SUV's turbo-petrol lineup. If you're considering one, we will explain to you what it offers in this read.
Up front, the Venue Executive showcases a parametric grille but is equipped with auto-halogen headlights, unlike the projector units in the S(O) variant. It also misses out on LED DRLs and cornering lamps, both of which are present in the S(O) trim. Nonetheless, it retains the dark chrome inserts on the grille, a standard feature across the SUV lineup.
Coming on to the sides, the Venue Executive sports body-coloured door handles and ORVMs. Hyundai has equipped it with 16-inch wheels with stylised wheel covers and roof rails.

At the rear, the Venue Executive showcases 'Executive' and 'Turbo' badges on the tailgate. However, it lacks the connected LED taillights found in the S(O) variant. Beneath the lighting setup, the 'Hyundai' logo and 'Venue' moniker are prominently displayed.
Inside, the Venue Executive, showcases a black and beige theme complemented by silver accents around the AC vents, centre console, and steering wheel. Noteworthy features include adjustable headrests for all passengers, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, a front centre armrest with storage, and a 2-step reclining function for the rear seats.
The Venue Executive comes equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a semi-digital driver display, steering-mounted controls, cruise control, manual AC with rear vents, and rear wiper with washer.
On the safety front, it gets six airbags, a tyre pressure monitoring system (TPMS), electronic stability control (ESC), and 3-point seatbelts for all passengers.
With the Venue Executive variant, you only get the option of the 120 PS/172 Nm 1-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual transmission. The S(O) variant provides you with an option of a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission as well.
The Venue is also available with two other engine choices: a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 83 PS and 114 Nm of torque, and a 1.5-litre diesel unit generating 116 PS and 250 Nm. The 1.2-litre petrol engine is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the diesel engine is coupled with a 6-speed manual transmission.
Priced at Rs 10 lakh (ex-showroom), the Venue Executive variant rivals the Tata Nexon, Kia Sonet, Maruti Suzuki Brezza, Mahindra XUV300, Renault Kiger, Nissan Magnite, and Maruti Suzuki Fronx crossover.
