Units of the Maruti Suzuki Fronx have started reaching dealerships and we are one of the first to get our hands on the crossover’s new mid-spec Delta+ trim. The subcompact crossover has been launched recently with prices ranging from Rs 7.46 lakh to Rs 13.13 lakh (ex-showroom). The Fronx’s Delta+ trim is a new addition to the carmaker’s Nexa range and sits bang in between the lineup. To take a closer look at this trim, go through these seven images:
The good thing about the Fronx Delta+ is it looks identical to the top-spec Alpha trim when viewed bang head-on. So yes, it features LED headlamps with three insignia DRLs that are flanked by a massive grille.
In profile, the Delta+ trim rolls on blacked-out 16-inch alloy rims that add a dash of stealth in contrast to the premium-looking dual-tone units. So whenever the Fronx gets the black shade from other models, this particular trim would look dope in an all-black shade.

Heading to the rear, the Fronx Delta+ looks identical to the top model with its connected LED tail lamps and a skid plate on the rear bumper. However, do note that the centre strip connecting the tail lamps is illuminated only in the top-spec Alpha trim, looking even more cool at night.
Inside, the dashboard design and layout are similar to the top-end trim. But the Delta+ trim misses out on piano black plastic elements and relies on a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, both of which dial down the premium experience a notch. Understandable though, as this is a mid-spec trim.
In terms of features, you would be more than satisfied with the Fronx Delta+. Highlights include wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, a multi-info display, steering-mounted audio controls, and remote locking. Passenger safety is taken care of by dual airbags, ABS with EBD, electronic stability control, hill hold assist and rear parking sensors.
Do note that niceties like a 9-inch touchscreen, wireless phone charger, side and curtain airbags and a heads-up display are limited to higher-end trims.
The Fronx Delta+ gets the choice of three powertrain options, all of which have been detailed below with ex-showroom pricing as well. That said, if you want the turbo-petrol automatic option, you have to go one step further up to the Zeta trim.
