The Kia Carens, set to be launched in early-2022, will be Kia India’s fourth model to go on sale after the Seltos, Sonet, and Carnival. The Alcazar-based people-mover will be offered in a host of colours, including three new shades that are exclusive to the Carens. Surprisingly, there isn’t a single dual-tone option on offer.
With that bummer aside, let’s take a closer look at the Carens’ colour palette:
Imperial Blue: Though this colour is exclusive to the Carens in Kia’s lineup, it looks similar to the Tata Safari’s Royale Blue.
Moss Brown: Another shade that’s limited to the Carens. But we can’t deny the fact that it mimics the Alcazar's Taiga Brown.
Sparkling Silver: The Carens looks rich in this bespoke shade and the silver flakes give it a premium finish.
Intense Red: This red shade mimics the one in the Seltos and Sonet.
Aurora Black: This is the option to pick if you want your Carens to look stealthy and sporty.
Gravity Grey: A neutral colour that suits the people-mover very well.
Glacier White Pearl: The one to pick if you can’t choose from the above options.
To know the features, powertrains, and other details of the Carens, read our in-depth unveiling report. It is expected to come in four trims: Premium, Prestige, Luxury, and Luxury Plus. Prices are likely to start from Rs 15 lakh (ex-showroom), putting it in the ballpark of the Hyundai Alcazar, Tata Safari, Mahindra XUV700, and MG Hector Plus.
