The prices for the e-bike starts at Rs 1,32,499

After six years of setbacks and hurdles, Tork has finally launched its electric motorcycle in India. The new EV comes in two variants: Kratos and Kratos R. Let’s take a detailed look at the bikes in images.

The styling on the Tork Kartos has been revamped from its initial T6X days. The bike gets a muscular bodywork and flowy design with sharp and edgy body panels.

The Kratos gets a sporty-looking triangle-shaped LED headlight setup with DRLs. Underpinned by a split trellis frame, both the variants get the same body design and split seat setup.

Powering this electric motorcycle is a 4kWh Li-ion battery pack that takes the place of an IC engine and is paired to Tork’s axial flux motor. The IDC range of the bike is 180km, however, the company claims a real-world range of 120km.

Both the Kratos and Kratos R are powered by a 4kW continuous motor. The Kratos produces 7.5kW of peak power and 28Nm with a top speed of 100kmph, achieving 0-40kmph in 4 seconds. The R variant produces 9kW of peak power and 38Nm, giving a top speed of 105kmph and a 0-40kmph time of just 3.5 seconds.

The bike is loaded with features like a fully digital console, Bluetooth connectivity, navigation, USB charging port, anti-theft system, safe home feature, crash alert, ride analytics and OTA updates. Additionally, the bike gets regenerative braking and reverse assist.

Suspended on a conventional telescopic fork and a monoshock, the bike gets front and rear disc brakes. It also comes with 17-inch alloy wheels and has a ground clearance of 165mm.

The Kratos comes in just a white paint scheme, whereas the Kratos R gets four colour options to choose from: white, blue, red and black.

With a booking price of Rs 999, the Kratos is priced at Rs 1,32,499 and the Kratos R at Rs 1,47,499  (ex-showroom Pune after Fame 2 subsidies). However, the price will go even lower after applying the respective state subsidies.

The Kratos competes with the Revolt RV 400 and gets better performance and more features than the latter. The Ultraviolette F77, however, still sits higher in terms of pure performance.
