Hot on the heels of the global unveil of the Tuono 660, Aprilia has unveiled the 2021 Tuono V4 along with the 2021 RSV4. Aprilia’s flagship naked now gets a host of technical updates along with updated styling in sync with the Tuono 660 and RS 660.

To begin with, the bike sports sleeker LED headlights with LED DRLs, and a slightly larger flyscreen for better wind protection. The fairing too has been redesigned and now features integrated winglets for better aerodynamics. In a bid to reduce fatigue, the Tuono features taller handlebars, a redesigned tank and a roomier seat that Aprilia claims will be more comfortable. Even the pillion comfort has been taken care of, with a spacious seat and lower footpegs. The Tuono V4 now also features cornering lights. Another highlight is the lighter aluminum swingarm inspired by the brand's WBSK and MotoGP machines.

The 1,077cc V4 powerhouse remains unchanged. It is now Euro5-compliant and belts out 177PS and 121Nm of peak torque using a new Marelli 11MP ECU. Braking duties are handled by dual 330mm discs paired with Brembo M50 monobloc calipers and a 220mm disc at the rear.

In terms of electronics, the Tuono features as many as six riding modes, three dedicated to the track and three for road use. A six-axis IMU unit monitors traction control, wheelie control, ABS among other parameters. The bike now even features adjustable engine braking, a first for the flagship naked. All the features can now be toggled using the new TFT instrument console.

Along with the standard Tuono V4, the brand has also unveiled the Tuono V4 Factory. Draped in Aprilia Black paint scheme, the factory version features top-notch hardware, including Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 semi-active suspension system as standard.

Aprilia could launch the Tuono V4 and the Tuono V4 factory in the European market in the next few days. We expect the India launch to follow later this year. If and when launched in India, the bike will lock horns with the  soon-to-be-launched Ducati Streetfighter V4 and the recently launched Kawasaki Z H2.
