Yamaha Indonesia has updated its popular retro bike, the Yamaha XSR155, for 2022. This iteration comes in a new Matte Dark Blue Authentic shade, in addition to the existing silver and black colors. Additionally, Yamaha has introduced a gorgeous special-edition variant, the XSR 155 Yamaha World Grand Prix (WGP) 60th Anniversary.
The anniversary edition's livery is similar to the Yamaha R15M Anniversary Edition sold in Indonesia. This paint scheme is complemented by a gold finish on the fork and wheels. Yamaha has priced the standard-colour variants at IDR 36,905,000 (around Rs 1.91 lakh), whereas the WGP 60th Anniversary edition retails at IDR 37,505,000 (about Rs 1.94 lakh), both on-road, Jakarta.
Apart from the colour schemes, the rest of the motorcycle remains unchanged. The Yamaha XSR155 gets the Yamaha R15-derived 155cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine with VVA tech. In Indonesia, it makes a healthy 19.3PS and 14.7Nm, linked to a 6-speed transmission with a slip-assist clutch.
We expected Yamaha to bring the XSR155 to India, but sadly, the bikemaker gave us the smaller Yamaha FZ-X, developed specifically for our market. We hope the company at least brings the anniversary livery to the FZ-X soon. Let us know what you think in the comments below.
