Kawasaki has launched the updated 2025 Versys 1100 in India. It now costs Rs 12.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), and will be sold in only one colour option. Lets find out what all changes the New Versys 1100 brings to the table.
Design
In terms of design, the 2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100 looks almost identical to the model it replaces. It gets a tall stance with a sharp looking front fascia. The tail section too looks quite interesting with the big tail light and a luggage rack. The tall adjustable windscreen visor completes the overall look. The available Metallic Matte Graphene Steel Gray /Metallic Diablo Black paint schemes too, makes the Versys 1100 look quite stealthy and appealing.
Engine
As the name suggests the 2025 Kasawaki Versys 1100 now gets a bigger 1100cc, in-line 4 motor which produces 135PS at 9,000rpm and 112Nm and 7,600rpm. Earlier, the Versys 1000 used to produce 118PS, so the power bump would definitely make a lot of difference in the overall performance of the Versys. The more power output has been unleashed because of some major internal changes like increased stroke length, higher compression, new camshafts with reduced valve lift and an improved air-intake.
Underpinnings
The Kawasaki Versys 1100 gets a twin-tube aluminium frame along with 43mm USD fork with compression and rebound adjustability. At the rear, it gets a monoshock with preload adjustability.
The 2025 Versys 1100 gets twin 310mm front disc brakes and a 260mm rear disc brake setup for braking duties. The saddle height for the Versys 1100 is kept at 820mm, which could be an issue for short riders but is still quite low for a motorcycle with a tall stance. The Versys being a sports tourer gets 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends. It also gets a 21-litre fuel tank which will give it a decent tank range. The kerb weight for the 1100 is a hefty 257kg which makes it quite a heavy motorcycle.
Features
In terms of features, the 2025 Kawasaki Versys 1100 comes decently loaded. It gets an LCD screen with a negative backlight and shows all the important information. It also gets dual channel ABS, traction control and cruise control. It gets 3 modes for the traction control and 2 rides mode for having a controlled power output. As an optional extra, customers can also opt for a quickshifter for their Versys 1100.
The new Kawasaki Versys 1100, being priced almost Rs 1 lakh cheaper than the Versys 1000, is definitely a much more tempting option than before. It gets all the features and hardware which would make it a powerful and comfortable long distance sport touring motorcycle. In the Indian market it competes with the BMW F900 XR and Triumph Tiger 850 Sport.
