BREAKING: The TVS Apache RTR 200 4V Gets A Fresh Face For 2022

TVS continues with its ceaseless updates for the Apache RTR 200 4V by launching the 2022 iteration of the popular bike. This comes in just a month after the bikemaker launched the 2022 Apache RTR 160 4V.

What’s The Price? Who Are Its Rivals?

TVS has launched the 2022 Apache RTR 200 4V at Rs 1,33,840 for the drum variant and Rs 1,38,890 for the disc variant (both ex-showroom Delhi). This is exactly Rs 775 more than the prices of the previous variants.

The 2022 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V locks horns with the likes of the Bajaj Pulsar NS200, Yamaha FZ25, Bajaj Pulsar N250 and the Honda Hornet 2.0.

How Many Variants Are There?

The 2022 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V is available in two variants-- with single-channel ABS and dual-channel ABS.

What’s New?

The highlight of this update is the new LED headlight setup, borrowed from the latest model of the RTR 160 4V. So, instead of the fang-style LED DRLs from the previous model, it now features a horizontal LED DRL bar. The new LED headlight is a bi-functional unit, so high beam and low beam can be used simultaneously.

What’s Unchanged?

Rest of the motorcycle is completely the same as the 2021 iteration. So, you still get the segment-leading features like preload-adjustable Showa fork, span adjustable clutch and brake levers, and the three riding modes: Urban, Sport And Rain. Braking duties are entrusted to a 270mm petal disc up front and a 240mm disc at the rear. 

The 2022 TVS Apache RTR 200 4V continues to be powered by the 197.75cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine which now produces 20.83PS at 8500rpm and 17.25Nm at 7500rpm.

Though this update doesn’t bring a significant change in what the Apache RTR 200 4V has to offer, the aesthetic update is definitely a welcome change.
