It joins the likes of the Meteor 350, Classic 350 and the Hunter 350

Spy shots, teasers and a lot of anticipation later, the 2023 Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is finally here and it looks smashing! Here’s all you need to know about it:

What’s The Price? Who Are Its Rivals?

Royal Enfield has priced the new Bullet at Rs 1,73,562 (ex-showroom Delhi) onwards. Its primary rival, hence, is the Benelli Imperiale 400. More affordable alternatives for it include the Yamaha FZ-X and the Kawasaki W175

What’s New?

  • New J-series mill | 349cc air-cooled engine making 20.2PS and 27Nm

  • Base variants - Military Red  and Military Black colourways | Rs 1,73,562

  • Single-channel ABS, rear drum brake and single-tone colours
  • Mid-spec variants - Standard Maroon and Standard Black colour schemes | Rs 1,97,436

  • Discs at both ends, dual-channel ABS and pinstriping on tanks along with gold and chrome badging
  • Top-of-the-line trim - Black Gold | Rs 2,15,801

  • Fatter 41mm telescopic fork (130mm travel) and a revised chassis

  • Wider tyres 100/90 - 19 (F) and 120/80 - 18 (R)

  • 300mm front disc and a 270mm disc brake/153mm drum brake at the rear

  • New rotary switchgear as the one we've seen on the Meteor 350, Hunter 350 and the Classic 350

  • 13-litre fuel tank | USB charging port

  • 170mm ground clearance for the dual channel ABS trim, 160mm for the single-channel one

  • 805mm seat height | 195kg kerb weight

  • Along with it are 37 GMA accessories on offer including nine specifically designed for the Bullet
  • Bookings start today | Bike will retail from September 3

What’s Unchanged?

What’s primarily unchanged on the new Bullet 350 is its stance and we’re glad for it. The bike’s still as big, muscular and imposing as ever and those who loved its macho appeal will still do so.  What retro fanboys will also love are the spoke wheels, which are unchanged too. That said, they do bring the inconvenience of tubed tyres, an issue we face with our long-term Classic 350.

What Should've Been Changed?

LED lighting has been given a miss on the new Bullet. It's not a dealbreaker though. What we would have also liked to see are maybe a few more readouts on the console. Features like average and real time fuel efficiency or distance to empty would have been appreciated by all.

The new J-series platform worked wonders on the new Classic 350. Royal Enfield modernised all the right aspects of the Classic, while fixing the little issues we had with it. All of it without really compromising on what the bike always stood for - an easygoing, old-school motorcycle. And we hope RE has done the same with the Bullet. We’re riding it soon so stay tuned to ZigWheels to be among the first ones to catch our first ride review.
