TVS motor company has launched the new Raider 125 iGO variant in India, priced at Rs 98,389 (ex-showroom Delhi). The iGO assist feature on the Raider will offer a boost in acceleration to make those quick overtakes in the city. We also saw this feature in the recently launched TVS Jupiter 110.
The new TVS Raider 125 iGO assist variant is powered by the same 124.8cc, air and oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine that makes a peak output of 11.38PS at 7,500rpm and 11.75Nm at 6,000rpm, an extra 0.55Nm as compared to the other variants that make 11.2Nm at the same RPM. However, this extra torque is only usable in the ‘Boost mode’ that provides improved acceleration for a few seconds.
The TVS Raider iGO is available in a single Nardo Grey colour. Based on the split-seat variant, it gets the same LCD instrument cluster from it. TVS also promises that the Raider iGO variant would deliver around 10 percent better mileage than the other variants. For reference, the standard TVS Raider mileage is 71.94kmpl in the city and 65.44kmpl on the highway in our tests, and we shall test out if TVS’ claim is true, when we get to ride the bike.
The basic hardware and underpinnings remain the same on the TVS Raider iGO variant. The 125cc bike gets a telescopic fork and a 5-step preload-adjustable monoshock. It uses a 240mm disc at the front and a 130mm drum brake at the rear. Equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels, the Raider 125 comes fitted with 80-section front and 100-section rear tubeless tyres. The TVS Raider has a generous ground clearance of 180mm and a kerb weight of 123kg.
With the launch of the new TVS Raider 125 iGO variant, the 125cc bike is now available in a total of 6 variants, with the iGO variant sitting just below the Super Squad Edition. Below is a detailed variant-wise price list:
