Ultraviolette F77 Super Street Launched in India
Available in two variants: Superstreet and Superstreet Recon
Prices start from Rs 2,99,000 (ex-showroom, Bangalore)
Ultaviolette Automotive has launched the F77 Superstreet in India. The bike is based upon the F77 Mach 2 but gets a new straight handlebar and revised aerodynamic panel in the front which redirects the windflow for a better riding experience.
The Ultraviolette F77 Superstreet is available in two variants: Superstreet and Superstreet Recon. The base Superstreet variant is priced at Rs 2,99,000 (ex-showroom, Bangalore) but the prices for the Recon variant have not been announced yet.
The Ultraviolette F77 Superstreet gets a revised front-end and a new upright handlebar. The revised front end improves the aerodynamic efficiency of the motorcycle. The new front end channels the air around the rider which reduces the wind drag felt by the rider. The new upright handlebar gives the rider a more upright riding posture.
Apart from these changes, the motorcycle remains unchanged as compared to the F77 Mach 2. It continues with the aggressive body panels and a raised tail section. The bike is available in four colour schemes: Turbo Red, Afterburner Yellow, Stellar White, and Cosmic Black.
The Ultraviolette F77 Superstreet is powered by a 7.1kWh battery pack which delivers a claimed range of 211km on a full charge. The battery is paired with a Permanent Magnet AC Motor which, makes 36.2PS and 90Nm, propels the scooter to a claimed top-speed of 155kmph. The bike does the 0-100kmph sprint in a claimed 7.8 seconds.
The F77 Superstreet gets a 10.3kWh battery which returns a claimed range of 323km. It gets the same motor but makes 40.2PS and 100Nm, while having the same claimed top-speed as the standard variant. The Recon variant is slightly faster though, it does the 0-100kmph sprint in 7.7 seconds and 0-40kmph in a claimed 2.7 seconds.
The chassis of the Superstreet remains the same as the F77 Mach 2. It gets an inverted telescopic fork and a monoshock, both of which have preload adjustability. Braking is handled by a 320mm disc at the front and a 240mm disc at the rear mounted on 17-inch alloy wheels at both ends. The lower variant has a kerb weight of 197kg and the higher variant weighs 207kg kerb. The ground clearance is 160mm and the seat height is 800mm.
The F77 Superstreet retains the same TFT display as the Mach 2 which gets features such as 3 riding modes: Glide, Combat and Ballistic. It gets a ride-by-wire throttle which allows for 4 levels of traction control and 10 levels of regenerative braking. Other features include hill-hold assist, charge limit, park assist and dynamic stability control.
While the F77 Superstreet does not have any natural rivals in India, other similarly-priced petrol-powered rivals include the KTM 390 Duke, BMW G 310 R, and the TVS Apache RTR 310.
