Yamaha has launched the R15S V3 in a new Matte Black colour with a price tag of Rs 1,60,900 (ex-showroom Delhi). This is the same as the standard ‘Racing Blue’ paint scheme that the R15S was already available in.
We broke the story back in March this year, that Yamaha will soon introduce two new colours for the “practical” avatar of the popular supersport. While there is no word on the availability of the red paint scheme, buyers now have an option to choose between the flamboyant blue and the stealthy black colours.
The Yamaha R15S V3 is essentially the R15 V3 with a single-piece seat, unlike the split-seat unit of the discontinued model. Interestingly, this bike makes 18.6PS at 10,000rpm and 14.1Nm at 8,500rpm, which is 0.2PS more and 0.1Nm less than the Yamaha R15 V4.
Currently, the R15S is Rs 16,500 more affordable than the most affordable variant of the R15 V4. So, if the V4 is turning out to be a bit pricey for you, the R15S v3 comes out as a more affordable, and a slightly practical alternative.
