No real update for a relatively hefty increase in asking price

After updating the Dio and Activa, Honda has once again turned its attention to its bikes, giving the Unicorn the OBD 2 treatment. And at Rs 1,09,800 (ex-showroom Delhi), it’s now Rs 4,082 more expensive than before. So, what do you get for the premium?

Well, not a whole lot. As mentioned earlier, the 162.7cc engine is now an OBD 2-compliant one making 12.9PS and 14Nm, both of which are the same as before. The bike is available in three colourways: Imperial Red Metallic, Mat Axis Grey Metallic and Pearl Igneous Black, of which the Red one is for the ones who love a loud, sporty touch to their bike. The Black paint scheme will be a delight for the ones who love keeping it subtle.

The motorcycle still retains its original design, built around a diamond-type frame and equipped with a telescopic fork and a monoshock. It rolls on 18-inch alloy wheels fitted with tubeless tires. In terms of safety, the bike is equipped with a 240mm front disc brake and a 130mm rear drum one. It comes with the backing of a single-channel ABS.

All in all, the Unicorn hasn’t really changed over the years and the bike continues to soldier on in the same way. But the Indian audience doesn’t seem to really mind it given how much the Unicorn sells each month.
