Kawasaki has entered 2024 all guns blazing by launching another new motorcycle – the Kawasaki Eliminator. The power cruiser was unveiled at India Bike Week 2023, and has finally entered the Indian market.
What’s The Price? Who Are Its Rivals?
With a price tag of Rs 5,62,000, the Kawasaki Eliminator is a pretty premium offering, however, it is still a pretty niche product considering that it is a sub-500cc multi-cylinder power cruiser. Its closest rival is the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, whose prices start at Rs 3,54,398 (both prices ex-showroom).
What’s New?
The Kawasaki Eliminator is a brand-new motorcycle and here’s all that it gets
Muscular and rugged power-cruiser styling
Powered by 451cc parallel-twin engine borrowed from the Kawasaki Ninja 500
Makes 45.4PS at 9000rpm and 42.6Nm at 6000rpm. Paired with a 6-speed gearbox
Steel trellis frame suspended on telescopic fork and dual shock absorbers
Gets a 310mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, with dual-channel ABS.
Rolls on 18-inch front and 16-inch rear alloy wheels
With a kerb weight of just 176kg, the Eliminator is a pretty lightweight motorcycle for the 450cc cruiser segment.
It features and LCD instrument cluster with Bluetooth connectivity
The deliveries for the bike are set to commence by Mid-January 2024
ZigSays
Sure, the Kawasaki Eliminator is a refreshing addition to the Indian two-wheeler market, but the premium price tag can rob the charm of the bike. Especially considering the Super Meteor 650 which is not only bigger but also offers an authentic cruiser experience.
That said, this should open space for more power cruisers in the market, as currently, in the middle-weight segment the only other offering is the Benelli 502C.
