It’s no secret that there’s quite a handful of Royal Enfield bikes on test, thumping down roads across India and Europe. Some of these bikes share the same 650cc powerhouse as the Continental GT650 and Interceptor 650. In fact, we’ve had quite the fun analysing all the spy shots of the Shotgun 650 and Super Meteor 650 test mules over the years.
Well, it is likely that we might soon be trading spy shots of these bikes for a chance to see it in person, as Royal Enfield might be gearing up to unveil these two bikes at EICMA in Milan, scheduled to begin from November 8. And for the India launch, the company might officially launch this bike closely after the unveil, sometime in November.
Now if you’re one of those excited to welcome these upcoming Royal Enfield bikes, but do not possess a Schengen visa to scoot to Milan, well cheer up, as the first time you can gorge your eyes on these models will probably be at Rider Mania 2022, scheduled to take place between November 18 to 20 in Goa.
The Super Meteor 650 was first spotted over two years ago, and despite undergoing a rigorous, prolonged test cycle, here’s what’s changed in the bike over the test period. The Shotgun 650 however is based on the SG650 concept that was showcased at EICMA last year. While this was a singular bobber concept, the test mules indicate it will arrive with a dual seat option.
Expect the Shotgun 650 to arrive with a price tag of Rs 3.15 lakh, while the Super Meteor 650 might be priced at Rs 3.5 lakh (both prices ex-showroom Delhi).
