Maserati has introduced the GranTurismo on our shores, from a starting price of Rs 2.72 crore (ex-showroom). The Italian luxury carmaker will also be introducing an all-electric version of the GranTurismo which will be called the Folgore in 2025. For now, It is available in Modena and Trofeo variants that are powered by the same V6 petrol engine but produce different outputs. Available in two different variants, the prices range from Rs 2.72 crore to Rs 2.9 crore (ex-showroom).
The Maserati GranTurismo’s design language is distinctive and looks as sleek as the Italian carmaker’s other models. The front sports sweptback LED headlights with L-shaped LED DRLs. It gets the familiar Maserati grille which houses the iconic Trident emblem. The coupe-design with the 2-door seating layout looks sporty from the sides and you also get the iconic Maserati logo placed on the upper section of the rear fender. Adding to the look are the deliciously made alloys and beneath them are the red callipers The rear sports sleek LED tail lamps, a quad exhaust system and a shark fin antenna.
The Trofeo variant looks sportier as it gets more aggressively styled design elements and carbon fibre treatment at many of the places. Both variants get 20- and 21-inch alloy wheels as standard, but the ones on the Trofeo look sharper and more eye-catching.
The interior of the GranTurismo is more modern and upmarket now but still retains that classic touch. The dashboard design and layout remains similar for both variants, but the Trofeo’s interior gets a different coloured upholstery and sportier looking elements in the cabin

The Maserati GranTurismo gets three large displays, a 12.2-inch digital-driver display, a 12.3-inch infotainment system and an 8.8-inch touchscreen for the climate controls. Other features include connected car tech, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 360-degree camera, a 14-speaker Sonus faber sound system and a suite of ADAS features. It features the iconic clock, but that too is digital now. You can also get an optional heads-up display and a 19-speaker Sonus faber audio system.
Both Modena and Trofeo are powered by the same 3-litre twin turbo V6 engine under the hood, but are tuned differently. The entry-level Modena produces 490 PS and 600 Nm, while in the Trofeo variant, the output jumps to 550 PS and 650 Nm. Both variants get an all-wheel drive system. The Modena goes from 0-100 kmph in 3.9 seconds, while the Trofeo does the same in just 3.5 seconds.
The Maserati GranTurismo will compete with the Ferrari Roma, Aston Martin Vantage and BMW M8 Competition.
