Hot on the heels of the FZ-X launch, Yamaha Motor India has brought in the limited edition FZ 25 Monster Energy MotoGP at Rs 1,36,800 (ex-showroom Delhi). Interestingly, the limited edition model is priced at just Rs 2,000 over the standard Yamaha FZ 25.
The Yamaha FZ 25 Monster Energy MotoGP comes draped in a gloss black paint, with the headlight cowl finished in the dapper Yamaha Racing Blue colour. This blue is carried over to the upper section of the tank extensions, which flaunt the Eneos and Monster Energy logo. The latter is even seen on the side panel and the front mudguard. This livery is similar to the one that was launched in 2019 at Rs 1.37 lakh.
Yamaha has made only cosmetic changes to the FZ 25. This limited edition FZ 25 retains the 249cc oil-cooled single-cylinder motor producing a modest 20.8PS at 8000rpm and 20.1Nm at 6000rpm, mated to a 5-speed gearbox. Sounds a tad boring? This story might change your view.
With the factory Yamaha team topping the constructor and rider standings in the 2021 season, the Japanese company has certainly pulled this off at the right time (unlike Honda with the Repsol Editions). Given the FZ 25’s massive price cut, this limited edition model should help rake in good sales for the brand.
