Citroen has revealed the new C3 Aircross SUV for the European market. Except for the name, the Euro-spec model clearly gets more than what is offered on our shores. It comes with a more premium design, upmarket interior, plentiful features and even an all-electric powertrain. Here are 10 things the Euro-spec Citroen C3 Aircross comes packing over the India-spec model. 

LED Headlights 

The European C3 Aircross gets LED headlights that should offer better illumination than the halogen bulbs the India-spec model comes packing with. Plus, it also comes with automatic headlights, meaning as the light dims, the light turns on its own when set in the ‘Auto’ position. 

Automatic Climate Control 

If you’re someone who wants to turn on the AC at the touch of a button, the Euro-spec C3 Aircross gets an automatic climate control system. In contrast, you’d have to manually rely on old school manual AC knobs and buttons to operate the AC on the India-spec SUV. 

Wireless Phone Charger

Don’t like messy cables lying around your car? Fret not as the international C3 Aircross gets a wireless phone charger to ensure your phone is always topped up. It will also come useful while using wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, which tends to sap your smartphone battery. 

Head-up Display 

The European C3 Aircross doesn’t get an in-depth digital driver’s display, unlike the India-spec model, which gets a 7-inch unit. Rather, you would have to rely on a head-up display that shows vital information. We would prefer if Citroen also provided an in-depth digital driver’s display in the Euro-spec model for the driver to view crucial information. 

Auto dimming IRVM

If you’re someone who primarily drives during night, then this feature will be useful for you. Auto dimming IRVM, which with the help of a light sensor, dims down the headlight reflection from cars behind you, making your drive experience all the more comfortable. In the India-spec car, you get a manual IRVM. 

Front Parking Sensors 

In addition to rear parking sensors, the Euro-spec C3 Aircross gets front parking sensors. It comes useful while maneuvering through a narrow lane or parking in a tight space. 

ADAS 

An important safety feature the Euro-spec model gets is ADAS. The suite includes the works such as blind spot detection, lane keeping assist, collision avoidance assist and blind spot detection. The India-spec model doesn’t come with any sort of ADAS. 

Electric Powertrain 

Another big unique selling point of the Euro-spec C3 Aircross is the availability of an all-electric powertrain. A 44 kWh battery pack powers a 114PS electric motor, estimating a range delivery of over 300 km. Down the road, a long range version with a larger battery pack will be introduced as well. 

New Citroen Logo 

Now, this isn’t something that will transform your ownership, but the Euro-spec C3 gets Citroen’s new chevron, giving it a nice modern look. It’s something you can brag to your friends about that you have a new age Citroen car. The India-spec model still relies on the old logo.
