Citroen’s next big thing for the Indian market will be the C3 Aircross, which is slated for an India launch sometime by July or August. The upcoming model is a three-row alternative to models such as the Hyundai Creta and Maruti Suzuki Ertiga. And while the C3 Aircross does start off with a positive first impression, there are some misses plenty in the features department.
Here are 6 features we wish the C3 Aircross got that would have made it an even more well-rounded package:
Citroen's new SUV slots in a segment where almost all its rivals offer either a single-pane or a panoramic sunroof. And the C3 Aircross not having one might put buyers looking for other options, considering how popular a sunroof is in the market.
In a sea of compact SUVs that get LED headlamps in higher-end variants, Citroen has gone back to the basics here. It has offered the old school multi-reflector halogen headlamp setup from the C3 hatchback. If not LEDs, we wish the French marque gave it a bare minimum projector headlamps that would have made it look aesthetically pleasing.

It’s 2023 and you still need to operate the AC by turning knobs and sliders. We won’t complain if this was a base or mid variant, but even in the top-spec trim, you have to rely on manual controls. On the positive side, though, the AC performance in the C3 hatchback was stellar when we tested in Goa, so we hope the same here.
One of the biggest misses, in our opinion. It’s not the olden days here, where manual cars were preferred over automatics. Cities are getting congested and automatic cars are becoming more popular day by day as they offer convenience and ease of driving. Yes, an automatic version of the C3 Aircross and the C3 for that matter are coming, but why not offer it from day one, Citroen.
Cruise control is a feature that allows more relaxed driving, especially on highways with minimum traffic. And this feature isn’t offered with the C3 Aircross. A miss considering most of its rivals have these features. Heck, the MG Astor, one of its rivals, goes the extra mile and offers you a full suite of ADAS features to make highway drives all the more relaxing.
With 6 airbags set to become a mandate in India real soon, carmakers such as Hyundai, Kia and Maruti are already updating their portfolio, especially base models with more airbags. Sadly, Citroen revealed the C3 Aircross with just dual airbags. Still, the French marque has time to fix as this car is expected to go on sale closer to the mandate date. So we hope it works on this.
Clearly, these are some big feature misses and we hope they aren’t introduced on a later date, like how the French marque did with the new top-spec C3 Shine. That being said, we suspect pricing to be aggressive, expected to start around Rs 9 lakh entirely undercutting the compact SUV segment.
The C3 Aircross will be a three-row alternative to models such as the Hyundai Creta, VW Taigun and Skoda Kushaq.
