The Auto Expo 2025 hosted a wide range of automakers in New Delhi between 17 and 22 January, including several luxury brands. To be specific, Mercedes-Benz, Porsche, BMW, Lexus, and Mini showcased their latest models and concept vehicles. In fact, Mercedes-Benz introduced two new models at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 for the market. It also showcased other new cars and its new entry-level all-electric concept that would be a stepping stone for its new direction.
German luxury major Mercedes-Benz introduced the new Maybach EQS SUV Night Series at the Auto Expo 2025. Priced at Rs 2.63 crore (ex-showroom), the new special edition takes the luxury to the next level for the SUV. The Night Series brings an exclusive paint scheme paired with dark chrome and rose gold accents throughout the exterior. Additionally, there is a new set of Maybach alloy wheels.
Inside, the Maybach EQS SUV Night Series features a dual-tone interior similar to the exterior alongside the contrasting rose gold inserts. Powering the electric SUV is a 118 kWh battery pack coupled to a dual-motor setup that makes 658 PS and 955 Nm. The WLTP range stands at up to 611 km.
After the launch of the Maybach EQS SUV Night Series, Mercedes-Benz also revealed the price of the new Maybach GLS Night Series for India. It comes with a sticker price of Rs 3.71 crore (ex-showroom). Thanks to the new, special colour, and dual-tone scheme, called Obsidian Black with Mojave Silver, the Maybach GLS Night Series looks striking. It adorns 23-inch new alloy wheels. Also on offer dark chrome highlights and rose gold trim for various elements.
The opulent interior can be had in either Manufaktur Black Pearl Exclusive Nappa leather or Manufaktur Crystal White and Black Pearl Exclusive Nappa leather. Both colour themes are complemented by natural grain herringbone pattern wood trim in brown finish and aluminium accents. The Maybach GLS Night Series is powered by a 4-litre turbocharged V8 engine producing 557 PS and 770 Nm.
Mercedes-Benz showcased its CLA Class concept – a four-door electric coupe that previews the brand’s new design direction. It promises to follow the legacy of the good old CLA but in an all-electric form. Built on the new Modular Architecture (MMA), the CLA Class concept will be a stepping stone for the new entry-level lineup of electric vehicles, including two SUVs.
It features the new MBUX Superscreen display that spans the width of the dashboard comprising a three-screen setup – a driver’s display, a touchscreen infotainment system, and a co-driver’s display. The in-house developed battery components claim to offer a range of up to 750 km for the CLA Class concept. Plus, it supports the 800V charging architecture, allowing ultra-fast DC charging capability.
The new Mercedes-Benz G-Class electric (or G580 with EQ Technology) was also presented at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The electric version of the iconic G-Wagon features a familiar design and interior but what lies under the bonnet is different. In fact, the electric G-Class also uses a ladder-on-frame platform. In India, it costs Rs 3 crore (ex-showroom).
It gets a 116 kWh battery pack that delivers a WLTP range of about 473 km. There are electric four motors – each independently powering a separate wheel. As a result, the G-Class electric can perform up to a 720-degree turn on the spot. Notably, the quad-motor setup produces 587 PS and 1,164 Nm.
Launched in mid-2024, Mercedes-AMG showed off the S 63 E Performance at the Auto Expo 2025. The high-performance sedan based on the opulent S-Class comes powered by a 4-litre twin-turbo V8 engine paired with a small battery pack and an electric motor. This setup is capable of generating a whopping 802 PS and 1,430 Nm, resulting in 0-100 kmph in 3.3 seconds and a top speed of 250 kmph. The S 63 E Performance has been priced at Rs 3.34 crore (ex-showroom).
One of the longest-running nameplates of Mercedes-AMG, the SL 55 roadster made its public appearance at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. This AMG-spec convertible features an aggressive and sporty styling and low-slung stance, while the tech-laden cabin gets numerous AMG-spec elements.
Powering the SL 55 is a 3,982cc turbocharged V8 engine that makes 476 PS and 700 Nm. With this, it can go from 0 to 100 kmph in 3.9 seconds and provides a top speed of 295 kmph. The brand has also equipped it with a fully variable 4Matic+ all-wheel drive system. Also on offer is AMG ride control suspension with three modes: Comfort, Sport, and Sport+. It is to be noted that the SL 55 Roadster is priced from Rs 2.47 crore (ex-showroom).
