TVS has had an eventful 2021 with several interesting launches, and we believe this salvo of offerings will continue in 2022 too. Here’s what we can expect from the company in the coming year:
TVS Retron:

A TVS scrambler-themed motorcycle was spotted testing in October this year. It could be called the TVS Retron and is likely to be launched in February 2022. TVS had, in fact, trademarked the name back in November 2020.
The motorcycle could be powered by a derivative of the Apache RTR 200 4V’s engine and be more for light trails than hardcore off-roading. Likely to be priced at around Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom), the Retron would be the perfect alternative to the underpowered Yamaha FZ-X. Another alternative would be the Husqvarna Svartpilen 250.
TVS Zeppelin R:
TVS had unveiled the first-of-its-kind Zeppelin cruiser concept way back in 2018 Auto Expo. The name TVS Zeppelin R was trademarked in November 2020, so the production version is likely to be called the same. Expect TVS to launch the bike possibly in 2022-end. Cruisers have gained popularity considerably in recent years, and the Zeppelin should give TVS an edge over its rivals in the sub-350cc segment. Expect it to be priced at around Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom). It will go directly against the Bajaj Avenger Cruise 220.
More Affordable 125cc Commuter:

Now that TVS already has the Raider in the premium 125cc commuter segment, the manufacturer might just follow it up with a more affordable bike to take on the Hero Super Splendor and Honda Shine. Expect this motorcycle to come with a halogen headlamp and semi-digital instrument cluster to keep costs in check. The riding modes may also be given a miss for the same reason. Expect TVS to bring this motorcycle around August, possibly at around Rs 70,000 (ex-showroom).
TVS Creon:
The production version of the TVS Creon concept could be introduced in late-2022. The manufacturer already offers the TVS iQube Electric, but it’s more of a family-oriented electric scooter. The upcoming Creon would be the perfect feature-rich sporty e-scooter to take on the Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, and the Simple One electric scooter.
Expect the e-scooter to offer around 80km of range, and it could be priced at around Rs 1.5 lakh (ex-showroom). TVS is working on a new subsidiary for EVs, so the Creon might just be the first offering under the sub-brand.
