Mumbai's leading Honda car dealer Linkway Honda has begun accepting bookings for the new Honda City and the Brio once again, perhaps, signalling the Japanese car maker's return to normal production and deliveries
Honda Brio

Deliveries of the Brio had taken a hit due to the Thai floods in the second half of 2011. Linkway’s announcement on restarting bookings for the Brio and new City is indicative of Honda’s production and delivery schedules getting back to normal. In line with the announcement, the showroom put on display fresh units of the new City and Brio

Managing Director of Linkway Honda Mohan Mariwala said, “Supply of Brio and City, which was disrupted due to unprecedented floods in Thailand, has restarted. In line with the production resumption at HSCI’s Greater Noida plant, we started receiving the New City (2012) and Honda Brio (2012) now.” He also maintained that all pending deliveries will be completed in the next few weeks.

Launched in December 2011, the face-lifted Honda City sports new chrome front grille, restyled front and rear bumper and all-new taillights that accentuate the looks of the car. The newly designed and attractive 10-spoke alloy wheels add to its sporty look. The interiors of the new City incorporate an elegant and attractive design. The plush beige interiors with high quality seat fabric and improved modern centre control panel with stylish chrome fittings lends the car an upmarket feel.

The Brio is the smallest car in Honda’s line-up and is one of the most practical and fun cars to use around a city like Mumbai. Its frugal nature and power to match its light weight not to mention Honda’s qualitative fit and finish had made it one of the most sought-after hatchbacks in the country until supply got disrupted.

The Brio has a number of active and passive safety technologies including dual SRS front airbags, anti-lock braking system, electronic brake distribution and front pretension seat belts. Latest technologies aiding the driver are i-SRS airbag system with continuously staged inflation which can accommodate a broad range of occupant positions and potential collision situations. The front body structure of the Brio is equipped with pedestrian injury mitigation technology designed to absorb impact energy. Read our Honda Brio road test to know more.
