2015 Audi A6 Facelift Launched in Petrol

Following the launch of the diesel A6 facelift last month, Audi has now plunked a petrol unit in it. In this refreshed A6, the power is now up by 5 per cent and yet at 15.26 kmpl it returns an efficiency which is 12.7 per cent higher than the outgoing model.
2015 Audi A6 facelift

Last month, Audi introduced the 2015 A6 facelift in a unique online launch at a starting price of Rs 49.5 lakh, ex-showroom Delhi. (Read Launch Story here). The German luxury car maker however brought it in just a diesel 35 TDI variant, only to introduce the petrol trim a few weeks later.  

The 2015 Audi A6 will now be offered at a starting price of Rs 45.90 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi and Mumbai) for the 35 TFSI variant. The new powerplant in the 2015 Audi A6 is now 200cc smaller than the outgoing model. It now generates peak power of 190 horses from an inline 4-cylinder unit that displaces 1,798cc. It comes mated to the seven-speed S Tronic transmission. In this refreshed A6, the power is now up by 5 per cent and yet at 15.26 kmpl it returns an efficiency which is 12.7 per cent higher than the outgoing model. 

Joe King, Head, Audi India said, “The car which features LED headlights, rear lights with dynamic turn indicators, restyled bumpers and Audi Singleframe grill, is a head turner from every angle. I am confident that with this latest offering, we will increase the number of delighted Audi customers.”

In the Indian market, the 2015 Audi A6 facelift goes against the likes of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class, the BMW 5 Series, the Volvo S80 and the Jaguar XF.
