2016 Auto Expo: Hitachi Automotive to showcase range of automotive technologies

The upcoming 2016 Auto Expo next month will see the Indian arm of Hitachi, a world-renowned conglomerate dealing in everything from home appliances to industrial cranes, showcasing its wide variety of advanced automotive technologies for the Indian market. Headlining the stall will be some of Hitachi’s widely-used technologies like Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Engine Management Systems, Electric Powertrain Systems, Drive Control Systems, and aftermarket products.

Other technologies slated for exhibition include valve timing controls, ignition coils, injection fuel systems, stereo camera, and semi-active chassis systems.

Hitachi has invested over three hundred crore rupees to launch the company’s second Indian manufacturing base in Chennai in April 2015. The company’s valve timing controls and ignition coils are manufactured at this new plant. The company is bullish on its growth prospects in the country, stating, “By 2020, India is expected to become the world’s third largest car manufacturer, solidifying the country’s presence as a global automotive leader.”

“Hitachi Automotive Systems is focused in the areas of environment, safety, and information technology and aims to create value for society by contributing to the development of vehicles that connect society while providing safe, accident-free mobility with ultra-high fuel efficiency and a low carbon footprint,” it further elaborated.

Hitachi Automotive India’s products will be on display at Hall No 18 as part of the exhibition’s Components Show which kicks off on February 4 at Pragati Maidan and ends on February 7.
