The Kawasaki Ninja H2 has to be among the most impressive motorcycles to go on sale in the recent past. But this hasn’t stopped the Akashi-based manufacturer from fine-tuning its litre-class monster further. At the 2016 INTERMOT motorcycle show, an updated version of the Ninja H2 was showcased. The 2017 Kawasaki Ninja H2 now sports an Ohlins TTX monoshock at the back. The new suspension system offers better ride quality along with high-speed stability while being fully adjustable for rebound and compression. It is the same unit as seen on the new Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R (Kawasaki Ninja ZX-14R Review).

Kawasaki boffins have also equipped the new 2017 Kawasaki Ninja H2 with “bank angle display” that shows the lean angle achieved by the rider. The data is real-time and can be beneficial for bragging rights during track days. There is also Bosch’s 6-axis IMU, which makes all the electronic net much sharper to safeguard the rider when he tries to mimic Marc Marquez’s lean angle. The new Ninja H2 also gets cornering ABS while the quickshifter is now also enabled as an autoblipper for coming seamlessly back down though the gearbox. Power figures remain unchanged but the motor has been made Euro 4 emission norm-compliant.

Also, the Ninja H2 Carbon was unveiled at INTERMOT. The new motorcycle, as the name suggests, features a CFRP (carbon reinforced polymer) upper cowl to differentiate itself from the standard bike. The 2017 Kawasaki Ninja H2 Carbon edition also gets similar paint finish as the H2R, but with a matte finish. The Ninja H2 Carbon has been limited to just 120 units and will carry a small premium over the stock H2. The 2017 Kawasaki Ninja H2 might make its way to India in 2017 but in very limited numbers, given the global demand for the bike and its limited production.
