Honda Motorcycles & Scooter India (HMSI) has launched the 2017 CB Shine SP, starting at Rs 60,914 (ex-showroom, Delhi). The updated model looks new and fresh, with the revised graphics making it look sportier than its predecessor.
Coming to the mechanical part, the new CB Shine SP is powered by the same 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine that was during duty on the previous model as well. However, the motor has been updated to meet the stringent BS-IV emission standards. There is not any change in the performance of the mill and it continues to deliver 10.3PS of power and a peak torque of 10.3Nm in the new model as well. The 5-speed gearbox of the bike also remains untouched and comes mated to the engine via a wet multi-plate type clutch assembly.
Along with the previous features like the digital-analog instrument cluster, stylish alloy wheels and CBS (Combi Brake System), the 2017 Honda Shine SP gets 2 new features. The first one is Automatic Headlamp On (AHO) that has been added as a safety feature. While the other one is low rolling resistance tyres from MRF, which will help in reducing energy loss via rolling resistance, providing slightly improved fuel efficiency.
Apart from these four updates, the bike remains the same reliable Honda CB Shine SP as before, and will provide you with the same experience if you have ridden the bike earlier.
