Not a fan of the 2017 KTM 390 Duke’s bright orange paint work? Well, here’s some good news. A few dealers in Pune have started offering the motorcycle in a new shade of white as a no-cost option. The KTM 390 Duke retails for Rs 2.36 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) and can be booked for a token amount of Rs 5,000.

Compared to KTM’s signature orange colour, which some feel is a bit shouty and over-the-top, the white paint on the 390 Duke manages to keep things a bit subtle. Parts such as the fuel tank extensions and the front mudguard are now draped in white. However, the gloss black fuel tank has been retained for the dual-tone effect. The split trellis frame and the orange wheels remain unchanged as well.

Interestingly, a limited stock of the white-coloured version of the bike was manufactured early last year for export markets. However, a few units made their way to select KTM dealerships and, as expected, they were sold out pretty quickly.

Other than the new colour scheme, the naked streetfighter remains the same at its heart. The 373.2, single cylinder, liquid-cooled engine produces 43.5PS of power and 37Nm of torque at 7000rpm. It is paired to a 6-speed gearbox with a power-assisted slipper clutch.
