Block your dates as Mercedes-Benz will be launching the 2017 CLA in India on November 30. Notably, it will be the 12th car for this year as promised by the manufacturer. The 2017 CLA made its debut just prior to the New York International Auto Show held earlier this year. Under the update, the stylish sedan receives new black highlights, giving the car a fresh look.

The updates are quite subtle and one would require a keen eye to spot the new additions. Starting from the nose, the front bumper has been restyled with a larger air dam with air scoops on either of its sides. The diamond radiator grille now comes as standard fitment while the headlamps get the all-LED treatment. The rear bumper has also been slightly tweaked and the tailpipe trim panels are now integrated flush into the bumper. The new highlights add to the overall width of the car, giving it a more demanding road presence. The 5-spoke alloy wheels have been replaced with multi-spoke ones that are similar to the AMG version.

For the interiors, the 2017 CLA gets new seat covers, updated clocks with red needles and a new 8-inch infotainment display that is now slimmer and equipped with a glass cover. Apple CarPlay has been included to the existing connectivity options.

Mechanically, the car will be powered by the same petrol and diesel powerplants. The petrol motor is powered by a 1991cc mill that churns out 183PS of power and 300Nm of peak torque. The diesel, on the other hand, sports a 2143cc turbocharged unit that puts out 136PS and 300Nm of torque. Transmission duties are handled by a 7-speed auto box transmitting power to the front wheels for both variants.

Expect the 2017 CLA to be priced slightly higher than the current model. In its segment, the CLA faces competition only from the Audi A3 in India.
